How to Color Block your Finger Nails
I'm going to take two very popular trends and put them together to form an adorable fingernail design: color blocking and neon colors.
You can use any colors you'd like, but I'm using yellow, green and turquoise.
What you'll need:
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color, Mellow Yellow
Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen, Chartreuse
Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen, Turquoise
The nail pens aren't mandatory, you can use a thin brush too, but the color blocking may get tricky if you're not careful! The Nail Art Pens are $8 each and you can find them at any drugstore (i.e. Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS)
Follow the steps below to create the look:
1. After painting a clear coat, paint your base coat. Let dry.
2. Create an arch at the base of your nail for your half moon. Let dry.
Tip: Start small and increase in size if you want it to be more noticeable.
3. To get a clean, even French tip, place your brush or nail pen near the left cuticle – without touching it – and gradually roll your finger away from where the pen started. The goal is to keep the pen still and let your finger do all the work.
4. Cover with a clear coat and let dry.

My Fave Reads for 2012!
Hello, all! I hope you have been having an eventful summer full of happiness. Below you will find a few of my top picks for 2012 summer reading. These are most all post- apocalyptic and are for YA. I love a lot of action, with a little bit of... (I hate the word "romance") young love. All books are completely clean; no large array of anything suggestive such as sexual content.
1. Divergent by Veronica Roth
This is my FAVORITE book of ALL time. Omg, it is amazing. Yes, better than The Hunger Games! Divergent is a 496 page novel about Beatrice Prior. This intense story follows the fortunes of almost 16-year-old Beatrice as she grapples with a future imposed on her by society. In Beatrice's world, there are five very different factions, Abnegation, Amity, Candor, Dauntless, and Erudite, each requiring lifetime allegiance to a particular lifestyle. Growing up in Abnegation, Beatrice is sick of self-denial, and when the time comes to decide on her chosen faction, she shocks her family and herself. However, she harbors a deadly secret that threatens the very fabric of her world. Wait til you meet Four. :) Insurgent is the second book in this trilogy. The third book will be released in spring of 2013.
2. Delirium by Lauren Oliver
This book is absolutely amazing too. It's up there with Divergent, I just haven't read the second and third books yet because I ordered them in the mail and have yet to receive them. Anyway, in a dystopian world where a cruel totalitarian government has declared love a crime and hindrance to society's good, people have a medical procedure at age 18 to remove the possibility of strong emotions. Harsh rules are enforced involving separation of the sexes, poetry is outlawed, and arranged marriage is a given. Soon to be 18, Lena is both excited and nervous about the surgery. But when she meets Alex and falls in love, all of her assumptions and beliefs are challenged. This is the first book in the Delirium trilogy.
3. Matched by Allyson Braithwaite Condie
I LOVED this too! I could not put it down. It was amazing, and always put me in a enthusiastic mood. Cassia's a runner, like me. :) Anyway, In an antiseptic world where all decisions are predestined and organized by the Society, from meals to work to marriage, and even death, Cassia is happy. Excited to discover who her future husband will be at the Matching ceremony, Cassia is delighted by the choice of Xander, her best friend. But when an image of another boy named Ky briefly appears, she begins to wonder what it means. Digging deeper, Cassia soon discovers the truth about the Society, and the danger she's in. There is a second book as well that is even better!
4. The Barcode Tattoo by Suzanne Weyn
I liked this pretty well, too, but depending on what you like, you may not. If you're scared about questionable stuff actually becoming a reality, don't read this. Lol, because it could happen. It is much a mystery, and at times can be sad, but turns out to be an awesome life lesson. In the near future, Kayla finds herself running for her life when she refuses to get the mandatory bar code tattoo on her seventeenth birthday--a decision that renders her a social outcast and places her family in grave danger.
5. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
I LOVED this very, very much! It is definitely popular, and a must- read for a thrill-seeker. The Hunger Games takes place is Panem, where North America once existed. Amidst the desperation of the poor and the tyranny of the wealthy, a terrifying annual event called the Hunger Games pits 24 poverty-stricken kids against one another until only one triumphs. When Katniss's sister is chosen, she takes her place and must fight for not only her life but the welfare of everyone in her district.

Makeup Trends of 2012? Yes, please!
Find the hottest makeup trends of 2012 right below! Youtube has awesome tutorials on how to do these, just use the name in your search!
1. An array of reds. Use different tones, and amounts to create your own look! The red lips should be the statement of your look, so advise not to over do it.
2. Modern cat eyes. Take the cat eye trend to a whole new level with these unique styles!
3. The bold power brow. No longer is plucking and waxing necessary if you want to try out this look!
4. Extremely smokey eye brows. This look is pretty self explanatory!
5. White Silver Metallics. Incorporate this style into different forms!
